Beth Payton (Bracegirdle) trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance
graduating in 2010. During her training, her performance work included works by Kerry Nichols (Wayne
McGregor/Random Dance), Tom Dale (Tom Dale Dance Company), and she performed as an Ensemble Dancer and
role of Attendant in a re-creation of Martha Graham's Primitive Mysteries. Since graduating, She has worked with choreographers Gary Clarke and Alesandra Seutin as a dancer for 12
Degrees North Dance Company, danced for Emma Lansley Dance and has been a Company Dancer with Balbir Singh Dance Company since 2013. Her work with Balbir Singh Dance has introduced her to the form of traditional Indian Kathak Dance. Performing both Nationally and Internationally with the company, Beth has danced in tours of Dhe Ki Ta, performing in Play of Percentages, Decreasing Infinity and Trespass #2 and has had the opportunity to perform dance works that are inspired by cross art form collaboration. Performing in company works such as Synchronised, Champion of the Flatlands and The Building Site, Beth has danced alongside Synchronised swimmers, BMX Flatlands riders and visual artists.
With an interest in Dance for Film, Beth's own work COMPLICIT PRISONER was screened at two festivals in the UK in 2014.
In addition, Beth has taught in a number of community settings across the region,
delivers workshops on behalf of Rambert as an Animateur, and is an Associate Tutor
at Edgehill and Salford Universities. Beth is currently Commotions Youth Dance Company's Co-Leader at The Lowry and has been a core curriculum teacher on The Lowry’s
Centre for Advanced Training in Dance since 2012.
