Further to this the National Dance CATs were also be joined by local dance groups and companies from the North West, each of whom have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to quality dance provision.

This unique event not only showcased the talent, hard work and aspirations of all the young dancers, but provided an important opportunity to witness the rich diversity of British dance training.

During the MODULATE weekend we hosted a free participation programme; which was offered to local young people and teachers. The programme included South Asian, Contemporary, Digital Dance workshops and the chance for young people to take part in a CAT Associates Open Workshop.

The Lowry CAT Associate Scheme offered 20 places from Sept 2011 to talented young dancers who were unable to commit to the full CAT curriculum or who may have needed further experience. The Lowry CAT Associate scheme is an invaluable opportunity to develop skills and take that first step towards a career in dance.
