As part of his exhibition A Flash of Light at The Lowry, we are pleased to be able offer a one off master class with the world renowned dance photographer Chris Nash, to A Level and FE College photography students with a particular interest in dance.
Chris has photographed such dance artists and companies as Javier De Frutos, Henri Oguike Dance Company, The Chomondeleys and the Featherstonehaughs, Rambert Dance Company and the Royal Ballet School.
In this workshop, Chris will demonstrate a variety of techniques for photographing dance within different settings. Participants will learn key skills to work towards mastering the art of the photography of movement.
The master class will take place on Friday 24th February 2012 from 10am – 4pm at The Lowry.
Due to the detailed nature of the master class, the workshop is limited to 16 places and a maximum of 4 places only can be booked per school or college.
The cost is £15 per student. A concessionary rate of £10 is applicable to students that attend schools and colleges in the Salford area.
Participants must bring their own cameras.
