Specialism
I have two focuses:
One is to promote traditional Chinese dance to a wider British audience and to more opportunities for people to get access to Chinese dance and culture either as a leaner or audience;
The other one is to create innovative dance work by exploring the fusion of Chinese and other dance styles like Chinese with contemporary, Chinese and African and also combining other art forms with dance.
Background Information
I have been trained in a wide range of dance styles including Chinese, contemporary, ballroom, jazz, ballet and street in various prestigious institutes around the world including Beijing Dance Academy, London Contemporary Dance School, Broadway Dance Studio, Peridance Centre in NYC, LIPA, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Community College. I have worked with numerous companies as a performer,choreographer and teacher including BBC,Channel 4,MDI, China Pearl, London Ascot.
